When users go to a Web page they process the page in the following order:

  1. Imagery
  2. Headlines
  3. Captions and quotes
  4. Story content

You can maximize your website’s effectiveness and impact through strong visuals and sound image cropping. And great images can be located through a range of sources, from paid to “found.”

Good imagery was the topic of a recent Solutions Group meeting that provided participants with valuable information on where to find good images, as well as some basic guidelines for non-professional photographers who may need to take a photo.
