Log into the UBCMS

Describes logging in to the UBCMS. [2:28]

Two options for completing this exercise...
  1. Request a Self-Paced account on the Training Server. Then just follow the instructions as is.
  2. If you already have access to the main Author Server, adapt the instructions to fit your own site.

Scope

The UBCMS is a secure platform. Login requires a UBITName and permissions designated by your Unit Web Leader.

Instructions

  1. Log into the UBCMS using your standard UB credentials and observe the process.
If you see 'User name and password do not match', something is wrong with your username or password.
 
If your login was successful, but you do not have permissions on the server, you will likely be shown '404 not found' error (the server cannot display content until it knows what you are permitted to see).
