Updates for the week ending February 11, 2022

  • Accessibility (Advanced topic) - Known Issue added where SiteImprove incorrectly flags excessive use of bold/italics.
  • Flex UI update - The default authoring mode for all authors has switched to Flex UI. Authors can click the Classic UI link on the Flex UI welcome screen if they still need to use Classic UI for certain tasks or need more time to prepare for this transition.
  • Flex UI update - Sitewide SSL (https) is now functional. Details are updated in Advanced Topics. 
  • Tags (Features Library) - Procedures and best practices noted for deleting tags (admins only). New Audience tags for Undergraduate Majors and Minors. New Content Type tag for Research Project.

Code Deployments:

  • 02/9/2022
    • Settings for "Require HTTP", "Require HTTPS" and "Require SSL Site-Wide" (all in page properties) have been fixed system-wide. All uses of "Require SSL Site-Wide" have been reset (disabled). "Require SSL Site-Wide" will be required by March 9 to improve the overall security of UB web sites.
    • Fixed a tag issue on News Article Shared Content pages.
    • Reduced Siteimprove warnings of "no Alt text" for images with Zoom enabled.
    • Form validation now removes leading and trailing spaces for email addresses in submissions.
