• Installation of Adobe AEM SP10 (Service Pack 10), bringing us up to date with the latest bug fixes and features. We will announce specific new features as they are tested and integrated.
• Adaptive Crop and Zoom (pilot): Fixed some bugs in initialization/loading the GUI editor interface. Added GUI editor to Photo Teaser component.
• Shared Content Reference: Allow for adding a description shown in the placeholder (such as if the included content is a script or style snippet that is not visible). The path to the shared content is shown if no description is added.
• Photo: Improved image quality for directly uploaded photos (not from DAM) are used in high resolution sizes, such as Hero size.

• Password-Protected Published Pages: Fix for a slowdown (~20 second delay the first few times each user loads a -pw page each day) caused by unnecessary re-syncing membership of many large groups.
• Photo Gallery: Fix for unclickable buttons in some gallery views.
• Workflow: An $initiator variable is now available in workflow email templates.
• Forms (Flex UI): aligning defaults, validation and more between Classic and Flex UI Form component dialog boxes.

• Shared Content Reference: Referencing a shared content page that is not activated, but whose child/descendents are used to cause an error, but now correctly just ignores the unpublished shared content.
• Shared Content: Filling in a new "CSS Classes" field in page properties on a shared content page will wrap that page's content with those CSS classes when included on other pages.
• Photo (Flex UI): Fix for clicking image zoom in author requiring scrolling the page to see.
• Related Video: Allow adding alt text.
• Accessibility: Removed "text is clipped when resized" false positive warning in SiteImprove.
• Body Text (and related components): Empty <a> tags will be filtered out to improve accessibility and reduce SiteImprove warnings.

• Slidedeck: Horizontal: The "hero" layout option is now out of pilot mode and available to all (Flex UI only). Also, all horizontal slidedecks have had some design adjustments. Watch for a different size image in mobile in particular.

• On This Page: Occasionally the On This Page component would create a link for an heading on the page that did not work because the heading did not have an ID to link to. An ID is now created for any heading used in On This Page that did not already have one, so all links should work.
• Body Text and other components with Rich Text Editor (Flex only): Pasting content from MS Word and other sources with formatting should no longer result in un-editable text, especially pasting text formatted as headings. The change only affects when text is edited, not existing text.
• Forms: Fixes for forms with multiple file upload attachments
• Photo Gallery: Fixed a problem with previous/next arrows not showing correctly on galleries with exactly two photos.
• Table (Flex only): Fixed problem where spell-check-related formatting would remain in the table and the final page after editing was finished.
• Highlight and some other components with image upload (Flex only): Fixed a problem preventing drag and drop of images from the Assets drawer into the component dialog box.
• List (Flex only): Fixed placeholders of some components like column control and content optimization container when used in content referenced by a List in Display as: Full Content mode.
• Page Properties (Flex only): Fixed a bug where editing page properties of the site home page could remove editing permissions on the site.

• Search: The search in the top nav now opens into a larger box below the top nav bar. Mobile is unchanged.
• Page Speed: Added various optimizations to improve page performance of all pages, including pre-connecting to external servers, optimizing web fonts, and optimizing image placeholders.
• Flex UI: Switched page browser used in Title and Call To Action component dialog boxes to match others.
• Flex UI: Changed page browser icon in dialog boxes from a checkmark to a magnifying glass.
• Flex UI: The private authoring feature launched two weeks ago was disabled for a few days after we found a bug. This is fixed and it is re-enabled.
• Flex UI: Several minor fixes to Related Content Column components
• Flex UI: Fixed bug where page properties image editor shows components/assets panel inside the image editor.

• An issue with the social media change was discovered where in some circumstances shared content will use the wrong social metadata in the post, such as using the UB logo instead of a photo from the page. This was patched and the fix was rolled out today.

3/17/2021

• Private Authoring (Flex UI only): Added a new feature on Page Properties, Advanced tab. You can limit a page and child pages to be visible and editable by only specific users. This is designed to be used to make sensitive content, especially shared content, only visible to need-to-know authors while it is being created. More documentation is forthcoming.
• Social Image (Flex UI only): Changed defaults for image used when sharing a page on social media. Before, if no social media image was uploaded (on the Social tab of Page Properties), the page's teaser image (from page properties, or the first image on the page) was used. This behavior is still in place for profiles, news articles and faces & voices pages. But for other pages, the parent page's social image is used instead unless a social image is uploaded. There is a new choice in page properties to control what image is used. Settings for social image are only present in Flex UI page properties now.
• Footer: Increased size of "175" logo in footer
• Column Control and Collapsible: Fix an issue with column controls placed inside of collapsibles in some cases.
• On This Page: Updated OTP component with a choice for new "Heading 2: Section Bar" style
• Adaptive Crop and Zoom (pilot): Added another zoom choice -- "Mobile Zoom" and renamed old "Zoom" to "Teaser Zoom". Mobile zoom is used on normal sized photos on a mobile device, while teaser zoom is used (as before) on very small images regardless of device.
• Highlight and Youtube Video: Fixed an issue where entering a Youtube video URL and just a Youtube video ID would work differently in some cases.
• Call To Action Button Bar: Fixed issue with CTA button bar backgrounds in mobile.
• Redirect Page: Jumbo Navigation metadata can now be edited in the redirect page template's page properties.
• Header: Fixed styling of site title with no link
• Flex UI: Added "Load All" button to site admin list of pages. Click this button on a long list if you know you will need to scroll way down to lower pages so you don't have to wait for them to load one page at a time.
• Flex UI: Workflow components (steps in a workflow) are now configured via Flex UI dialog boxes.
• Flex UI: Fixed issue where "Start of 1 Column" would show on top of a reference component
• Flex UI: Comma and underscore can no longer be entered in page names (titles are ok). Valid characters in a page name are letters, numbers and dashes

• Reference Report: Filled in page owner field even on pages the report user does not have access to see.
• Footer: Added some space below footer text touching the bottom of the page with no margin/padding.
• Faces and Voices: Automatically add smart quotes around new faces and voices quotes (can be turned off with a checkbox).
• Title: (Flex UI only) Added "Heading 2: Section Bar" style in title dialog box.
• Flex UI: Hid some admin tool buttons not usable by authors.
• Flex UI: New image editor in page properties. Images can now be cropped and rotated. Also background and social images can now be selected in Flex UI. All image changes are saved immediately regardless of whether other page properties changes are canceled or accepted.
• Flex UI: "Start Offset" dialog box in site admin list now shows the total number of pages in the list.

• Footer: The footer UB logo images will be changed to include the "175th" graphic. The images are not exactly the same size, so there will be other small CSS and HTML changes. Also, the UB loco will be added to the mobile version of the "enhanced" footer that currently has no logo.
• Call To Action Button Bar (pilot): A choice of color scheme is now available in the dialog box.
• List Builder: Curated list items with no link will now be shown instead of hidden.
• Social Button: An icon for "Issuu" has been added to the choices in the social button.
• Article Tools: Corrected mis-formatting or article tools links (share, print) in some layouts.
• Workflow Report: The workflow report was not working correctly since the April 2020 upgrade and is now fixed.
• Flex UI: Full-Width Carousel placeholder was covering entire component and has been fixed.
• Flex UI: "Created" date/time/user is now available for display in the site admin list. The Created column is not shown by default, but can be added by choosing "View Settings" in the top right menu where you choose Column/Card/List view.
