"No Rights to Replicate" warning

When a non-publisher attempts to activate a page which includes content for which they do not have permissions, an error message is displayed and that referenced content is not published.

Reviewed June 3, 2022

The Issue

Publishers can only activate content for which they do have permissions, but pages often display or reference content from other sites, including other sites' Shared Content or DAM areas. Thus, as a publisher activates a page, if any of its referenced content includes assets that also need to be activated, and for which they do not have publishing permissions, a dialog box will appear with a rather cryptic error message: 'Warn: No rights to replicate. Request for de/activation got issued for {page}.'

Workaround

There is no workaround.

This is normal behavior.
