Step 3 - Author Approval

In this step, you'll verify that your AUTHOR environment has been successfully converted to NextGen.

Timeframe: 1-2 days for review

Change Freeze in Effect

Do not publish
— publishing during the freeze will break your live site.

NextGen-related edits — final adjustments to custom code, HTML snippets, and image components can be made, these will be published by EAS in Step 4. Avoid unrelated content changes, as they will be lost if a rollback is needed.

What to do in Step 3

  1. Review Author: On your converted AUTHOR site, review the same pages you reviewed in Step 2.
    • Verify that AUTHOR matches the QA2 environment you approved in Step 2.
  2. Submit Approval: Once you verify AUTHOR conversion is accurate, submit AUTHOR approval.
    • IMPORTANT: Any live pages with unpublished changes will go live with this approval.

What to expect next

  • EAS will schedule and perform site activation (1-2 business days).
  • The freeze continues until Step 4 is complete.
  • You'll be notified when ready for Step 4.
  • IMPORTANT: Once your sites are pushed Live they will be publicly viewable so you should plan to review them ASAP upon receipt of the email notification.
