Your detailed site report is a spreadsheet generated weekly and available on the QA2 server.
Reports are stored on the QA2 server and updated each Monday at 9am. You can access them anytime - now, before your wave, or during your conversion.
Note: Log in to ubcms-qa2 first. VPN required if accessing QA2 off campus.
Your detailed site report includes site statistics and information to identify pages requiring attention and help you work efficiently during your NextGen conversion.
These details help you assess which pages are current, who's responsible for content, whether pages are still relevant, and how to efficiently review your site across all environments.
This information is organized into 5 tabs:
What it shows: Summary of your site across key categories.
When to use: Start here to understand your site's scope and identify which areas of your site need attention.
What it shows: Pages currently locked in AUTHOR.
Why it matters: Locked pages cause conversion to fail. These pages must be unlocked before your wave begins.
When to use: Step 1: Prepare for Conversion - Unlock all pages, note which ones to re-lock after Step 4.
What it shows: Pages published on your live site but modified in AUTHOR since last publish.
Why it matters: These changes automatically go live during Step 4. You need to decide whether to publish now, revert, or let them go live during conversion.
When to use: Step 1: Prepare for Conversion - Review and decide what to do with unpublished changes. Start early as this can be time-consuming and doesn't require access to QA2.
What it shows: Pages with customizations that need updating for NextGen compatibility.
Why it matters: NextGen uses different CSS selectors and template structure. Custom code may not work without updates.
When to use: Step 2: Approve QA2 - View pages in QA2, fix code, test thoroughly.
See For Developers for help.
What it shows: All Pages with HTML snippet components
Why it matters: Provides context about where snippets are used. While these HTML snippets have not been identified as using any of the outdated selectors, it would be pertinent to spot check that they are working as expected.
When to use: During steps 2-4.
