These links should be to your site's most important key tasks based on your DCT strategic assessment.

Tie your color choices into your overall brand strategy.

Using This Component

This component has two pieces, an area to house a Photo or Slide Deck Horizontal on the left, and the Key Tasks module itself on the right.

Once the component is on your page, you can then add its companion component -- Photo or Slide Deck Horizontal -- into the area on the left.

Add the companion component as a new component, or drag or cut-paste in an existing component that is already on the page.

On the right is the Key Tasks module itself. The remaining details are about this module.

Technical Restrictions

  1. This component is only intended for use on one-column pages and home pages that are the equivalent (where the component spans the whole width of the page).  If your implementation is narrower, you may have problems.
  2. This component is only intended to accompany a Photo or Slide Deck: Horizontal component.

Configure - Main Settings

Click the wrench icon to 'configure' these settings.

Key Tasks Tab

Headline - Enter the main descriptive title.

Theme - Choose a color scheme that is compatible with your home page. These colors can be set to match your brand 'color pop', chosen to provide consistent personality and differentiation throughout your site.

Tasks (up to five can be added):

Title - Enter a heading that will link to one of your pages. Required.

Text - Enter additional descriptive text. If this is skipped for ALL tasks, the module will display as 'quick links' (see below).

Link - Provide the corresponding hyperlink to one of your pages.

Note: The Key Tasks component offers two display options:

  • Key Tasks Menu: If all tasks have descriptive text, they will display as a series of 'key tasks,' like teasers without thumbnail images.
  • Quick Links Menu: If not all of the tasks have descriptive text, they will all display as 'quick links,' like calls to action with a '>' bullet.

Example of a Key Tasks Menu. Note all the tasks have descriptive text and the secondary component has not yet been added.

Example of a Quick Links Menu. Note none of the tasks have descriptive text and the secondary component has not yet been added.
