Add handy private 'post-it' notes that only co-authors can see.
Adding content to your website is often subject to discussions prior to it actually being published. To aid this, many components directly related to content can be annotated.
The annotate feature allows authors to add "sticky notes" on pages in the author environment with comments and/or questions for future consideration. (Viewers can see these comments, but not change them.) Most components allow annotations.
Annotations are only visible in the author environment.
The identity of the author who created the original note is indicated in the footer line of the annotation, as well as the date. Subsequent authors can edit the same annotation (the footer will be updated), or create a new annotation for the same component.
Annotations are included in any copy, cut or delete actions carried out on the paragraph to which they are attached; for copy or cut actions, the annotation (and related sketches) will retain its position in relation to the original component.
NB. If the component the annotation is associated with is deleted in the author environment, the annotation will also be removed.
Use our handy tool to compile a list of all of your annotated pages with their annotations.
